King Jewelers’ Casino Night, a benefit fundraiser for the newly formed Champions for Children Foundation, featured Blackjack, Craps and Roulette games, libations and friendly competition among guests at The Wine Loft recently. The event was sponsored by Hublot and Nashville Lifestyles Magazine.
Casino chips were available for purchase to raise money for the charity and the winner at the end of the evening with the most money in “play” casino chips of a Hublot watch was Nashville resident Ross Schilling. King Jewelers donated the Hublot watch to raise money for the Champions for Children and had many exquisite timepieces on display, including the Million Dollar Big Bang watch. Hublot’s timeless design blends traditional horological art with 21st century Swiss watchmaking and style. Hublot timepieces and accessories are carried exclusively in Nashville at King Jewelers at 4121 Hillsboro Road in Green Hills.
Champions for Children is a non-profit founded and organized by David King, brand manager of King Jewelers. King became inspired by his involvement with a hospital in Miami to propose the idea to establish a program for emerging philanthropists in the Nashville area. Champions of Children highlights the impact and mission of the Children’s Hospital and Vanderbilt’s Department of Pediatrics.
“Champions for Children began as a proposed idea and now has become a fully effective, social awareness program that will involve events hosted at different venues in the Nashville area to raise needed funds along with increasing awareness with the needs of the Children’s Hospital,” said David King. “This first event is only the beginning for us.”

KING JEWELERS FIRST RETAILER IN THE COUNTRY TO EXHIBIT ONE-OF-A-KIND JAQUET DROZ TIMEPIECES
King Jeweler’s Nashville salon is the first retailer in the United States to exhibit ten one-of-a-kind unique Swiss Jaquet Droz stone dial timepieces now through June 28 at its location in Green Hills. The Jaquet Droz Manufacture of Haute Horlogerie has long been committed to the mission of cultivating the spirit of invention, reform and excellence.
As the creator of watches, clocks and automations that were universally recognized for their elegance and finesse, Pierre Jaquet Droz (1721 – 1790) succeeded in making people forget about the phenomenal complexity of the mechanisms and movements required to actually run his masterpieces. Gifted with an entrepreneurial spirit, he established a presence in the courts of Europe, Russia, and The Forbidden City.
He opened three manufacturing facilities in La Chaux-de-Fonds, London and Geneva, with the latter being the first ever established inside the walls of the city. In the first workshop Pierre Jaquet Droz began to specialize in the production and export of timekeepers endowed with grand complications. Today, working where the company founder opened his first manufacturing workshop in 1738, Jaquet Droz watchmakers respectfully bring to his dream “to create mechanical marvels that seem to possess a soul.”
“King Jewelers is pleased to be the first in the country to exhibit these exquisite and intricate Jaquet Droz timepieces,” said David King, brand manager of King Jewelers. “The team of master watchmakers, dialmakers, engravers and other jewelry-making artisans give shape to this impressive array of models.”
