Zenith Partners with The Rolling Stones Again on the Verge of the 2015 Zip Code Tour

On May 24th, President & CEO of Zenith, Aldo Magada, attended the first stage of the Rolling Stones “Zip Code” North American tour, in San Diego, CA. To celebrate their 150th anniversary, the watchmaking brand has just launched the El Primero Chronomaster 1969 Tribute to the Rolling Stones. This Limited Edition of 1000 timepieces will be dedicated to the British rock legends.

This tour is truly a case of “when the stars line up”

In fact, the Star brand and the British rock stars have been collaborating since 2014. They share the same values: pleasure, daring, and authenticity.
The El Primero Chronomaster 1969 Tribute to the Rolling Stones is a real Rock n’ Roll timepiece which picks up on the Rolling Stones’ style; the coated black titanium case used in this new limited edition introduces a very dark, contemporary, rock-style look which is pioneering in its use of materials.

IWC Finally Creates a Ladies Timepiece- and the Portofino Midsize is Worth the Wait

For years IWC has been a “men’s only” brand- until now they’ve never released a watch that could even be considered unisex. But times are changing, and the latest additions to the Portofino family are “midsize” models- smaller and thinner cases which are adorned with diamonds and feature feminine colored straps.
The King Jewelers Nashville luxury salon is lucky to already have two of these beautiful Portofino Midsize Automatic watches in stock- one in stainless steel on a brown strap, and one in rose gold on a lilac strap.

19th Century Victorian Diamond Fringe Necklace Arrives in TN

19th Century Old Mine Diamond Fringe Necklace, temporarily available at King Jewelers Nashville, courtesy of Fred Leighton

Vintage Victorian Luxury Arrives in King Jewelers Nashville

King Jewelers is proud to temporarily be home to this gorgeous vintage 19th century diamond necklace. The Victorian-era stunner features old mine diamonds totaling approximately 21 carats which create a fringe of darts mounted in silver topped yellow gold.
The Victorian period is named for Queen Victoria, who ruled Britain from 1837 until her death in 1901. The period represents one of the most important and creative periods in the history of jewelry style and design. The Victorian era was one of prosperity, romanticism, and sentimentality, themes that translated to the jewelry designs of the day. Victorian jewelry encompasses many different styles and aesthetics, from old mine diamonds collet-set in silver topped gold, to hand-chased gold and enamel jewels, to bold colored gemstones worn in fresh and creative ways.
19th Century Victorian Diamond Necklace
Jewelry from this era was often highly personal; lockets and rings were particularly popular. Some of the most enduring jewelry motifs have their roots in the Victorian period, including hearts, serpents, stars, butterflies, and bows. The death of Queen Victoria’s husband, Prince Albert, in 1861weighed heavily on the style of the day. Jewelry reflected the people’s sense of loss in the prevalence of mourning jewelry and the use of black materials such as jet and enamel.
We’re honored to have this unique piece of jewelry history available to our Nashville area clients, even if it is for a short time. To schedule a showing, please contact a sales associate at (615) 724-5464 or visit our luxury salon.

Hublot Classic Fusion Aero Chronograph Stuns in Rose Gold

Hublot_Banner

Hublot Impresses with Rose Gold Edition of a Classic

We thought we had been sufficiently impressed with Hublot’s Classic Fusion Aero Chronograph and its various forms. Little did we know, the best was yet to come.
Recently, the Nashville salon was privileged enough to receive an all Rose Gold version of the statement-making timepiece by Hublot. It’s only been in the store for a week, but it’s already making a big impression. The recent upswing in rose gold men’s timepieces has been widely followed, and we’re not the only ones enamored with this new trend.
At 45mm, the Classic Fusion Aero Chronograph is a bold watch, to say the least. A watch that size, in an all gold case no less, means it won’t be worn by the faint of heart. We acknowledge that something so “loud” might not be for everyone; still, if nothing else, you have to at least appreciate the impressive mechanics behind the face. Beauty is only skin deep, after all.
The self-winding chronograph movement is contained within a 45mm 18K rose gold case. The skeleton dial, with beautifully contrasted rose gold hands and indicators, allows you to see the movement in all it’s glory at all times. Features include a chronograph function and date display window. It is covered by scratch-resistant, anti-reflective sapphire crystal, and the 18K rose gold bracelet has a deployment buckle.

First-Ever United States Qualifying Tournament of The Cigar Smoking World Championship Deemed Overwhelming Success!

On Friday May 8th 2015 King Jewelers Nashville was honored to host the Cigar Smoking World Championship qualifying round for the first time ever on U.S. soil. This historical event included a night of fine cigars, watches, and jewelry with cocktails by Angels Envy, Simi Winery, and Robert Mondavi Winery. Delicious hors d’oeuvres were served with live Bahamian music outdoors while the cigar smoking championship entries gathered inside. Over 20 contestants from around the world came together to compete at the Nashville qualifying round.
Nashville was the appropriate choice of city to hold the first ever qualifying round in the U.S, as it is the home to the current World Cigar Smoking Champion, Darren Cioffi. In addition to his World Title, Darren is also the official champion in Switzerland, Croatia, and Serbia. He is also the President and founder of Principle Cigars.
Cioffi said, “The evening was as exciting as we’d hoped and was attended by people from 15 countries; not bad for an inaugural event. The setting of every prior qualifying round of this competition and every location to follow most assuredly pales in comparison to the fantastic setting that King Jewelers provided us for our event.”
Cigar Event 3
Marko Bilic of Cigar Club Mareva who sets the strict rules of the competition was also in attendance to regulate and ensure that the participants and the contest followed the guidelines were met to be considered a official and certified qualifying round. Bilic said, ‘We turned a new page in cigar world history, after six years of Cigar Smoking World Championships, dozens of qualification tournaments in world capital cities from west to east, the first ever CSWC tournament was held on American soil!”
Club Mareva establishes the rules for all the qualifying competitions, which involves the “slow-smoking” of a Mareva-size cigar. Normally enjoyed in about 25 minutes, the challenge is for participants to make their cigar smoke continually for the longest period of time without allowing the cigar to extinguish.
The winners of the Nashville qualifying around include: Third place, Petteri Patjas of Finland (1hr, 22min, 49sec), Second place, Eric Kyle of Nashville, TN (1hr, 28min, 32sec), and First place, Jason M. Lois of Louisville, KY (1hr, 58min, 02sec).
Cigar Event 2
Prizes including limited edition boxes of cigars from Principle Cigars and Macanudo and a Macanudo Waterford crystal ashtray were awarded to the participants with the three best times. The first-place winner, Jason Lois, is now qualified to participate in the 6th Annual Cigar Smoking World Championship to be held in September in Croatia.
King Jewelers was thrilled to host this historic event in Nashville. “King Jewelers was honored to host the first-ever qualifying round of the Cigar Smoking World Championship,” said David King, owner of King Jewelers Nashville. “Find watches and premium cigars find themselves adorning the same hands around the world. It was exhilarating to exhibit and celebrate the blending of these luxuries in such a significant way at this event.”

Loose Diamond Semi-Mounts vs Proposal Ready Engagement Rings

Proposal Ready or Semi-Mount Engagement Ring: Which Better Suits Your Needs?

With our large selection of engagement rings, we’re often asked whether it’s better to buy a completed, proposal-ready engagement ring straight out of the case or if it’s better to purchase the mounting and diamond separately.
One of the best ways to ensure you’re getting the exact engagement ring that you want in a price range that’s affordable, is to purchase your mounting and diamond separately. At King Jewelers, we offer an unmatched selection of certified loose diamonds of all shapes and sizes so that regardless of your budget, you can find a certified diamond that works in your mounting.
With our new Loose Diamond Portal, you can search through thousands of certified diamonds to find one that meets your needs. Once you narrow it down, you can schedule a free, no-obligation appointment to see the stone in person.
loose diamond
Generally, it’s more affordable to choose your own stone than to buy a proposal ready engagement ring straight out of the case. Most people are more than willing to give up a little in one area of the 4 C’s (carat weight, for example) to gain a little in another area (color, for example) if it means their overall cost will drop. By purchasing a loose diamond, you control exactly what areas you’re willing to compromise on- and what you’re not– to find the perfect stone.

Shop Thousands of Diamonds in our Loose Diamond Portal Now!

The main drawback to buying a semi-mount rather than a proposal-ready ring is, of course, the time frame. Our proposal ready rings are usually shipped within 48-hours for online shoppers, and can be taken home same-day for customers of our brick-and-mortar stores. If you’re on a serious time-crunch because you don’t have any wiggle room for your proposal date, you may be better off purchasing a proposal-ready ring. You’re probably already somewhat nervous to pop the question- don’t add more stress waiting to see if the ring will be ready in time!

Shop Hundreds of Proposal-Ready Engagement Rings Now!

Luckily, once the diamond and the mounting are both in our possession, our master jewelers are usually able to mount the ring and perform any last-minute tweaks (like sizing and polishing) in a timely fashion.  Unless you’ve waited until the absolute last minute to purchase the ring, a semi-mount will probably work out just fine.

New Arrival! BR-X1 Skeleton Chronograph Carbone Forgé

Bell & Ross BR-X1 Skeleton Chronograph Carbone Forge

Bell & Ross Reveals New Limited Edition of 250 Pieces

Bell & Ross has impressed us yet again! The BR-X1 line, revealed back in 2014, brought us an entire collection filled with sporty, high-tech chronographs which somehow managed to be both sophisticated and bulky. Now they’ve introduced the BR-X1: Carbone Forgé, a revolutionary timepiece which utilizes compressed carbon fibers to create a deep black, non-porous, water-resistant, single-unit case with clean edges.
Bell & Ross BR-X1 Carbone Forge
The square case is lined with a ceramic and rubber “bumper” which will help protect the watch from impact damage. As with most Bell & Ross timepieces, the back of the BR-X1- made from grade 5 PVD titanium- features a small, round opening which reveals the beating heart of the balance. Made from grey-tinted sapphire crystal and featuring appliqué metal indicators with photo-luminescent inserts, the dial forms a clear window through which the exceptional movement can be admired. The faceted, Superluminova-filled hands and appliqué indicators offer easy legibility.

The central hour and minute hands are read traditionally, while the small seconds hand is positioned at 3 o’clock. The skeleton date dial is positioned at 6  o’clock. Instead of a hand, the minute timer on the chronograph function features an ultra-light aluminum disc resembling the blades of a turbine. The hand on the central second counter indicates quarters of a second. Essential for calculating speeds, the tachymeter scale appears on the flange. The chronograph hands feature subtle red accents. The grooved rubber strap has a black PVD steel buckle.

Featured Cushion Cut Pink Diamond Halo Engagement Ring

pink_diamond_engagement
White diamonds have always been a girl’s best friend, but sometimes it’s nice to see something that’s pretty in pink! Pink has been “the” wedding color over the last few years. We’ve seen an abundance of pink flowers and decorations, and even a surge in pink wedding dresses! Surprisingly, though, we haven’t seen very many pink diamond engagement rings. This is probably due in part to their cost; pink diamonds are often far more pricey than their colorless counterparts. It’s also due in part to the fear that a pink diamond is trendy, rather than timeless.
We’ve seen it all at King Jewelers, and we’re convinced that with a beautiful stone (one with good vibrant coloring and few inclusions) a pink diamond engagement ring can be just as timeless as a traditional colorless diamond ring. Many women wear fancy yellow diamonds all the time, so why not try something a bit different?
This week we feel like drooling over something perfectly rosy. To that end, we present this King Jewelers Pink Diamond Engagement Ring as today’s featured product!
This 18K white gold and 18K rose gold engagement ring features a 1.18ct cushion cut pink diamond center stone. It is surrounded by a 0.10ct pavé set halo of round cut pink diamonds, and a pavé set halo of round cut white diamonds. The shank is set with additional round cut diamonds. The engagement ring has a total diamond weight of 2.06ct.  It is GIA certified as a VS2 stone.
