In honor of its 10th anniversary, the Chronograph Carrera Calibre 16 has been given a major update which was first debuted in Geneva this year. The Carrera will now be available in lightweight black titanium, with elegant matte black and beige detailing. This matte black/beige color combination is truly sharp, and will no doubt appeal to the fashionable gentleman of the modern age. The trendy distressed brown leather strap that will age beautifully, giving the watch additional rugged appeal.
The Carrera Chronograph Calibre 16, TAG Heuer’s sporty 43mm best seller, was first released back in 2007. Various details of this new edition echo the Carrera of the 1960s. Like the 60s models, the updated version features two chronograph counters located at 6 and 12 o’clock with applied rings, and the faceted lugs are motifs pulled directly from those early Carrera models. The minute counter has applied black gold Arabic numeral accented by beige SuperLuminova™ for better visibility. As the name suggests, the watch also features both day and date windows at the 3 o’clock position.
On the back, the sapphire case back displays the beautiful mechanics of the automatic Calibre 16 movement as well as the weight, decorated with a Côtes de Genève pattern.
