Hublot Releases New White Big Bang 44mm Aero Bang Garmisch Watch

Hublot recently added champion skier Maria Riesch to their ranks of athletic ambassadors. To honor the occasion, Hublot is going to release their first white Aero Bang named the Big Bang 44mm Aero Bang Garmisch watch, after the FIS Ski World Championships taking place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany from February 7th to 20th. Hublot holds the title of “Official Watch” for the FIS Ski World Championships.

The Big Bang Aero Garmisch has a white, partially skeletonized dial showing off Hublot’s in-house self-winding mechanical movement, the HUB4214. The movement also has a chronograph function contained within a 44.5mm satin-finished steel case and covered by a double-sided anti-reflective treated sapphire crystal. The case also features composite black resin lateral inserts and the dial has rhodium plated luminous index markers as well as a date display at the 4:30 mark. The satin-finished steel bezel is held in place with 6 H-shaped titanium screws. The strap is white alligator leather with a satin-finished stainless steel deployment buckle. Water resistant up to 100 meters with an approximate power reserve of 42 hours. This watch will be limited to 250 pieces and will be mostly available during the World Championships in Garmisch.

Maria Riesch, a native of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, is an accomplished skier who has won medals in the Super Combined and Slalom events at the Vacouver 2010 Olympics, won a gold medal in the Slalom at the Val d’Isere 2009 World Championships, and is currently ranked number one in her FIS Aline Ski World Cup General Classification. Riesch joins fellow skiers Bode Miller and Dario Cologna in Hublot’s list of ambassadors.
