The First Whole Diamond Ring

Jul 18, 2013

Who would’ve thought that making a ring entirely made of one diamond was possible? Shawish Jewelry out of Switzerland has accomplished the impossible. This ring makes The Krupp Diamond look like a toy ring.

“A ring made entirely of a faceted diamond has always seemed like a fantasy, it seemed impossible, so we decided to embark on the adventure of creating the perfect diamond ring that is the epitome of art.” – Mohamed Shawesh, creator of Shawish Jewelry

This ring is cut and finished from one single diamond. Shawish used precision lasers with diamond cutting and polishing techniques. The whole diamond ring is 150 carats and is expected to be about 70 million US dollars. Shawish took an entire year to complete this diamond ring.

“The World’s First Whole Diamond Ring is the unbelievable achievement of our commitment to reach the ‘impossible’.“ – Shawish Jewelry
