The 22nd Annual Chukkers for Charity Polo Match and Car Show took place on September 8th. King Jewelers took the chance to continue our annual support of this worthy cause. Without a doubt, King Jewelers participated in the silent auction by donating a ladies Bell & Ross timepiece. Over its 22 year history, the charity has raised more than 2.3 million dollars. The charity raised $200,000 this year! Importantly, all the proceeds from the Chukkers for Charity event go to the Saddle Up! program and the Rochelle Center.
Saddle Up!
Saddle Up! is an organization that gives children and youth with disabilities the opportunity to grow and develop through therapeutic, educational and recreational activities with horses. In addition, Saddle Up serves more than 1,300 children with disabilities. As well as provides more than 50,000 hours of services. Furthermore, they have cared for more than 130 horses in 25 years. Not to mention, they offer recreational therapeutic riding and hippotherapy. Hippotherapy is a blend of physical and occupational therapy.
Rochelle Center
The Rochelle Center began in 1968 by long-time educator, W.R. Rochelle. Likewise, this organization raises money to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to learn how to become as independent as possible. For example, the center provides employment programs, daycare services, and residential housing. There is a place for everyone with moderate to severe disabilities.

Collector’s Corner: Bell & Ross Reveals New BR-X1 Hyperstellar
Much to the delight of us all, Bell & Ross has unveiled a new BR-X1 chronograph, the BR-X1 Hyperstellar, which pays homage to man’s fascination with the beauty and mystery of outer space. This timepiece is a limited edition (only 250 will be released world-wide) so if you’re a Bell & Ross enthusiast and you’re lucky enough to find an authorized retailer that still has the BR-X1 Hyperstellar available, we’d suggest you jump on it! The BR-X1 Hyperstellar has a BR-CAL.313 automatic mechanical movement contained within a 45mm titanium case with anodized blue aluminum and rubber inserts. The metal skeleton dial has luminescent indexes and hour and minute hands, while still allowing you to see right into the heart of the movement. Features include hour and minutes function, small seconds indicator at the 3 o’clock position, skeleton date window at the 6 o’clock position, and a chronograph function. The chronograph features a 30-minute timer at the 9 o’clock position and central chronograph seconds. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal is grey-tinted to match the overall cool tones of the timepiece. The caseback is also covered by tinted sapphire crystal which is centered on the balance. The dial features a red stamp indicating the extremely limited availability of the timepiece between the 7 and 8 o’clock positions and a date display window between the 4 and 5 o’clock positions. It is covered with tinted, anti-reflective, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The tan distressed leather strap has a black PVD coated steel pin buckle. Bell & Ross Reveals New Limited Edition of 250 Pieces
Bell & Ross has impressed us yet again! The BR-X1 line, revealed back in 2014, brought us an entire collection filled with sporty, high-tech chronographs which somehow managed to be both sophisticated and bulky. Now they’ve introduced the BR-X1: Carbone Forgé, a revolutionary timepiece which utilizes compressed carbon fibers to create a deep black, non-porous, water-resistant, single-unit case with clean edges. The square case is lined with a ceramic and rubber “bumper” which will help protect the watch from impact damage. As with most Bell & Ross timepieces, the back of the BR-X1- made from grade 5 PVD titanium- features a small, round opening which reveals the beating heart of the balance. Made from grey-tinted sapphire crystal and featuring appliqué metal indicators with photo-luminescent inserts, the dial forms a clear window through which the exceptional movement can be admired. The faceted, Superluminova-filled hands and appliqué indicators offer easy legibility.
The central hour and minute hands are read traditionally, while the small seconds hand is positioned at 3 o’clock. The skeleton date dial is positioned at 6 o’clock. Instead of a hand, the minute timer on the chronograph function features an ultra-light aluminum disc resembling the blades of a turbine. The hand on the central second counter indicates quarters of a second. Essential for calculating speeds, the tachymeter scale appears on the flange. The chronograph hands feature subtle red accents. The grooved rubber strap has a black PVD steel buckle.
