Country music lovers from all over the U.S. came together for the 2019 Country Music Awards. One of our showrooms is located in the heart of Music City. King Jewelers had the honor of taking part in the jewelry styling for “Country Music Female Vocalist of the Year,” Kacey Musgraves. Seen on the red carpet wearing a stunning yellow, floor-length gown, entirely embellished with sequin and feathers, spectators were instantly brought back to the “Golden Hour” of it all.

Dripping in Diamonds

In addition to her show-stopping attire, let us take a moment to admire the jewels that delicately adorned her fingers. In Kacey’s eclectic fashion, she was wearing King Jewelers’ 3.01ct fancy yellow GIA-certified princess-cut diamond ring. This breathtaking fancy yellow diamond is accompanied by 142 smaller white diamonds on a platinum band. The total diamond weight of this ring is 4.31cts.

She also wore an eternity wedding band, featuring 18 fancy yellow radiant-cut diamonds. This ring makes quite a statement on its own, however, Kacey Musgraves was additionally spotted sporting this princess-cut yellow diamond wedding band. This enthralling 18K white gold band has a total diamond weight of 1.69cts. She added the Marli Designs 18K yellow gold Avenues Index Finger ring.

On Friday, November 8th, King Jewelers had the chance to work closely with Hublot, one of our biggest and most popular timepiece brands. Hublot is a brand where tradition and innovation coexist. This is far more than a simple slogan, but rather an idea or attitude that embodies the meaning behind the Hublot name.

The Academy

To celebrate the launch of this week-long event, a select group of clients was invited to get an exclusive look at some limited edition and specialty timepieces that the brand provided specifically for this event. Keith Schaefer, one of Hublot’s master watchmakers, came and set up his watchmaking bench right in our showroom to demonstrate the process of deconstructing and reconstructing a Hublot timepiece. Our clients even had the chance to sit at the bench and try it out for themselves while enjoying passed hors d’oeuvres, LVMH’s signature Glenmorangie 18-year scotch and Veuve Clicquot champagne.

Chopard Releases Reinvented Alpine Eagle Collection

King Jewelers is excited to announce the release of the Chopard Alpine Eagle collection. In three different vartiants, this watch seems to be a direct descendant of the iconic Chopard St. Moritz, which first debuted in 1980. It was originally designed by Karl-Friedrich Scheufele when he was only 22 years old. His son, Karl-Fritz came up with the idea of recreating this model in a contemporary, yet timeless fashion. Together, the duo named this remodeled watch, the Alpine Eagle. Keep in mind that the Alpine Eagle Collectoin is made up of 10 different references in two different sizes.

What Makes the Chopard Alpine Eagle Unique?

Just like most luxury steel sport watches, the Alpine Eagle has watch enthusiasts buzzing. The 41mm case surprises most who try on this timepiece in person because it doesn’t look or feel too big or bulky. The wide bezel makes the dial seem smaller and the watch more wearable for everyday. One of the most unique aspects of this watch is the highly-polished accents on the bezel screws and bracelet links. This watch is exceptionally shiny because Chopard has curated a unique steel alloy called Lucent A223, which is significantly tougher and more scratch-resistant than regular steel. Another reason why Chopard created the Lucent A223 is due to ethical and environmental sustainability. Approximately 70 percent of the steel is recycled and 30 percent is mined with traceable roots.

How It Looks

Although the look of this watch resembles the St. Moritz model, we cant help but admire a few minor differences that give it a more modern aesthetic. To demonstrate, we now have a perfectly circular bezel with smaller, fitted screws rather than an oddly shaped “bumpy” look. We also notice that the date window has moved from the six o’clock position and is now found between Roman numeral hour markers four and five. The Aletsch blue dial features a galvanic treament that is meant to resemble the iris of an eagle, leading us to the thought process behind its name. Running on a manufactured movement called Chopard 01.01-C, this watch reveals a 60-hour power reserve.

Chukkers For Charity Polo Match and Car Show

The 23rd Annual Chukkers for Charity Polo Match benefitting the Rochelle Center and Saddle Up!, took place on September 7th. King Jewelers took the opportunity to continue our annual support of this philanthropic cause. King Jewelers participated in the silent auction by donating a Swiss Army timepiece. Over its 23 year history, this philanthropy has raised more than $3.3 million dollars. The charity raised $260,000 in 2018 alone! Importantly, all the proceeds from the Chukkers for Charity event go to the Saddle Up! program and the Rochelle Center.

About Saddle Up!

Saddle Up! is an organization that provides children and young adults with disabilities the opportunity to develop and grow through therapeutic, recreational and educational activities with horses. Saddle Up opens its doors to more than 1,300 children with different types of disabilities. This program also provides more than 50,000 hours of therapeutic services. Furthermore, they have cared for and housed more than 130 horses in 25 years. Saddle Up is most-commonly know for its recreational therapeutic riding and hippotherapy. Recreational therapeutic riding has a positive effect on postural control and balance. Hippotherapy is a hybrid of physical and occupational therapy that helps to improve coordination, balance, and strength.

About the Rochelle Center

The Rochelle Center was founded in 1968 by long-time educator, W.R. Rochelle. This program raises money to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It helps them to learn and understand how to become as independent and self-sufficient as possible. For example, the center provides employment programs, daycare services, and residential housing for those who attend. There is a place for everyone with moderate to severe disabilities, therefore, catering to an incredibly wide audience.
