This diving watch is most commonly associated with the movie, Apocalypse Now. Captain Willard, portrayed by actor Martin Sheen, was seen with this timepiece adorning his wrist throughout the film. This Seiko dive watch also referred to as the Uemera Diver, accompanied the world-renowned Japanese Polar explorer, Naomi Uemura, throughout his journey into to the North Pole in 1978.
