The Super Bowl ring is the ultimate man ring. They represent strength, hard work, accomplishment, and are usually set with enough diamonds to blind somebody. They are typically made of white or yellow gold and are inscribed with the Super Bowl number, team logo, team name, and of course each ring is personalized with the player’s name and uniform number. These days a Super Bowl ring is probably worth a cool $5,000 each.

Powerhouse jewelers like Tiffany’s, Jostens, and Balfour make bids to produce the esteemed rings, but the final decision lies with the winning team. Jostens has made 28 out of 44 of the rings and Balfour comes in second with having made 9 Super Bowl rings. Although Tiffany & Co. has been part of the Super Bowl since the very beginning in 1967, as it was vice president Oscar Riedner who was responsible for the design of the Vince Lombardi trophy. The trophy has been hand-crafted by Tiffany’s every year ever since. Vince Lombardi himself helped design the first Super Bowl ring that went to the Green Bay Packers.
The winning teams are issued 150 rings to distribute among players, trainers, coaches, executives, and other staff members. At this moment, Neal Dahlen, a retired football administrator, holds the title for the most Super Bowl rings with a whopping seven rings to his name.

William “the Refridgerator” Perry from the Chicago Bears holds the title for the largest ring size at a staggering size 25. The average male ring size is normally between a 10 and 12. The Patriots’ Super Bowl XXXIX ring has the record for the most diamonds, set with 124 round-cut white diamonds. On top of that, it weighs about a quarter of a pound.
