A Special Exhibition of the 2010 Franc Vila Timepiece Collection
Miami, 2009: Miami’s A-List Watch connesiours joined King Jewelers and Selecta Magazine to welcome Franc Vila to the South Florida. Franc Vila, the dynamic watchmaker from Valencia, Spain is one of the most talented timepiece designers in recent history, and the first luxury Swiss Watch maker from Spain.

They are instantly recognizable, strong architecturally and have original personality.,” commented Jono King of King Jewelers.

IWC maintains its resolute approach to the environment by committing itself to the Galapagos Islands. The partnership with the Charles Darwin Foundation marks the beginning of a collaboration geared to the long term and aimed at protecting one of the most fascinating nature resources on the planet: the Galapagos Islands with their abundance of species and a unique and highly vulnerable ecosystem that is threatened in many ways.
“The Plastiki” – The enviromentally innovative Ingenieur Automatic Mission Earth Edition “Adventure Ecology,” also know as The Plastiki. With the challenges that face our planet, the world needs men like the environmental adventurer David de Rothschild – and companies like IWC Schaffhausen, whose active contribution to environmental protection is based on a firm belief in this cause. KING JEWELERS PARTNERS WITH WYLER GENÈVE
MIAMI, FL (August 2008) – King Jewelers of Aventura, FL and Nashville, TN announces exclusive partnership with Wyler Genève, a Swiss watch manufacturer that has been changing the face of the timepiece industry with innovative practices and ingenious design for over 100 years.
The decision to partner with Wyler Genève was natural for the King Jewelers’ family based on the similarity of ideals and practices governing both companies. “At Kings, our constant goal is to be miles ahead of our industry in every department. Whether it is service, beauty and design, innovation, environmental awareness or civic duty, we take our position in the luxury world as leaders quite seriously,” says David King, Director of Business Development.
Wyler Genève boasts one of the most exclusive watch lines in the world, with only seven retailers, including King Jewelers, located in the US. Since the launch of their new Tourbillion and Chronograph watches at Baselworld, 2007 in Switzerland, demand for these coveted pieces has grown at an unprecedented rate.
On principle, Wyler Genève prefers to be judged on its products and its actions, rather than artificial publicity. From the start, Wyler Genève exploded onto the scene with the development of their patented Incaflex balance wheel, which has now become an industry standard. The founder of the Wyler Watch Company, and a pioneer of anti-shock technologies, then proved the effectiveness of his own invention by throwing his company’s watches off the Eiffel Tower in 1956.
More recently, Wyler Genève broke industry standards once again by becoming the first watch company in the world to be certified CarbonNeutral® by the CarbonNeutral® Company. The launch of the Wyler-Genève GMT also marked the debut of the world’s first CarbonNeutral® watch.
Wyler Geneve watches are proudly worn by race car drivers and enthusiast from around the world because of the brand’s long-standing partnership with the automobile industry. Associations include the Paris-Beijing anniversary, an exclusive design partnership with Italy’s Atelier Zagato and a partnership with the St. Moritz Automobile Club. World-renowned DJ, Bob Sinclar, an avid racing fan, was recently spotted wearing an 18-carat gold Wyler Genève chronograph on his 2008 worldwide summer tour.
The Wyler Genève chronograph, available in 18 karat red gold, titanium and steel, combines their original innovation and high-tech materials in a case with a design that is bold, daring and marked with Paul Wyler’s philosophy. The design goes hand-in-hand with the mechanics of a performance automobile, while offering a unique form of shock absorption that guarantees optimum reliability from the self-winding chronograph movement.

Aventura, Florida, February 2, 2007 – King Jewelers, South Florida’s oldest and most reputable jewelers, showed appreciation for their loyal clients and special guests by hosting a private event together with Harry Winston on February 1st in Aventura’s Porta Vita’s Ville Grande Club. This dinner was the perfect opportunity to show our clientele and other members of the community how much we appreciate them.”

King Jewelers sponsors the MIAMI VICE East Coast Premiere and raises money for CURED
Miami Beach, Florida. King Jewelers partnered with IWC for the MIAMI VICE East Coast Premiere on July 25th and helped raise money for a good cause.
Donating the two actual IWC watches worn in the film MIAMI VICE by Academy Award ® winner, Jamie Foxx, King Jewelers and IWC helped to kick off the fundraising event at Mansion in South Beach following the premiere. The event honored the film’s director Michael Mann and raised money for the Miller School of Medicine’s Center for Urologic Research, Education and Diseases (CURED).
Worn by the urbane and street smart Ricardo Tubbs, played in the film by Academy Award ® winner, Jamie Foxx, the two IWC watches — the Portuguese Chrono-Automatic and Aquatimer Split Minute Chronograph – proved to be the perfect fit in helping Miami Vice transition to it’s new modern look and feel and were ideal for the sweltering days and nights on the set as they shot in exotic locations such as Paraguay, Uruguay and the Dominican Republic.
Both watches were purchased by David King during the live and silent auction and will be on display at King Jewelers along with the watch boxes, signed by Jamie Foxx, Colin Farrell and Michael Mann. 100% of the proceeds from the puchase of the watches went to CURED.
The mission of CURED is to improve diagnosis, treatment and quality of life for the patient with urologic cancer and disease through compassionate patient care and innovative research. The emphasis in the department has historically been on translational research, performing laboratory research that can readily be applicable to improved patient care. The goal for the Center for Urologic Research, Education and Diseases is to build on this highly successful model and become one of the premier centers in the world by supporting groundbreaking research and state-of-the-art treatments for both general urologic diseases and urologic cancers.
