First and foremost, you need to know that some alternative metals actually can’t be resized. That means if you gain a few pounds thirty years from now, you’ll have to give up the ring you were married in for a brand new ring in a different size.
A multitude of external factors such as the amount of time that goes by (does the company even make that style anymore?) or the economy (is the company still in business?) may leave you unable to get the same ring you had in a new size- you may have to choose a new style altogether!
